VJSTICK: PROGRESS DIARY - WEEK 2
VJSTICK: PROGRESS DIARY - WEEK 2
Hello! and welcome to this week’s diary. Over the last week, our development team has made considerable progress on VJStick and we will be sharing details of this progress with you. We will also be describing what will be the team’s next step as we cruise into Week 3 of development.
Design
For Week 2, design work on the UI
for both controller and display, made considerable progress. Our team was able
to finalize a prototype interface for the default controller. We also managed
to go deep into UI work for the display landing pages, and adapted low-poly
mods for the testing of the controller’s UI buttons.
Our next design step will focus
on the console as we expect Management to make a major announcement soon,
towards games on the VJStick suite.
Code
Coding work went into full gear
in Week 2 with the team developing various algorithms for the gamepad’s
controls. We were also able to develop event handlers for the adapted mods we
used for testing play-connectivity between gamepad and console. Lastly we
conducted short focus tests, adjusting frequencies and fixing early bugs for
each test we coordinated.
Our code work for next week will
focus a lot on the display, as majority of the basics are now in place pending
more tests, while the console features evolve.
